Payment Options
Our team is incredibly passionate about animals. We are honored to partner with you to provide the best care for your pet(s). We recognize that veterinary medical expenses can be more expensive than planned, unexpected, and/or stressful at times. We will always provide you with the available options and support your decision(s) along the way.
We accept major credit and debit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. We can take payment via terminal in the clinic or online via a link or through our patient portal.
We also accept cash and checks*. If payment is made in full via cash or check at the time of service, we will give a 2.5% discount on the total bill.
*Clients that are new to us may not write a check at the first visit.
CareCredit is a wonderful payment option, especially for more expensive visits and/or when the unplanned veterinary expense comes up. It is a healthcare credit card that allows your pet to get veterinary care when they need it. Instead of paying the entire cost of care at once, CareCredit allows you to pay off your balance in monthly installments. It is a medical credit card that can be used at many veterinarians and human care providers, too. Prequalification requires a soft credit check, to be followed by a hard credit check upon acceptance. Care Credit allows us to offer our clients a 6-month, no-interest-financing option for bills over $200.
Scratchpay is another great payment plan option; it’s structured more like a loan with a higher approval rate than Care Credit. Prequalification requires a soft credit check. Scratchpay offers three different payment plan options: 5 total payments made every other week, 12-month, and 24-month. The 5 payment/bi-weekly plan is interest free and does not incur a hard credit check. Upon acceptance of a 12- or 24-month plan, a hard credit check will be performed. The annual percentage rate (APR) is based on the individual application.
Billing Policy
We are not creditors and therefore cannot extend billing or financing to our clients for payment plans. We work hard to keep our pricing as low as reasonably possible in our current economy. Therefore, we must collect payment at time of service.
Any invoices left unpaid for any reason will incur immediate billing fees and interest after 30-days.
Deposit Requirements
Estimates that are over $1000 may require a deposit prior to services being performed. The deposit amount will be 50% of the high-end of the estimate.
New clients may be asked to pay 50% of the high-end of an estimate if greater than $500.
Appointment No-Shows will require a deposit of the exam fee prior to any future scheduling. We run a tight schedule with a long cancelation list and no-shows are not only impactful to our day, they also impact others that would have liked to get in sooner. Therefore, if you no-show to an appointment you will have to pre-pay the exam fee in order to book again. The payment will be applied to your scheduled visit or forfeited if cancelation is less than 24 hours.
Pet Insurance
Pet insurance is also a viable option for many pet owners, helping them pay the cost of unexpected veterinary care. There are a variety of pet insurance companies and plans, please check out our page with more information here.
